Job Description:
Lead and manage the R&I team, providing direction, strategic planning, initiative, market trend analysis, technical & operational support in order to strive continuous product innovation through all R&I activities which suitable with business goals and market trends, both local and international.
Oversee all the process of R&I divisions sub function ProdDev, R&D, PackDev including managing, coordinating and controlling from the initial planning phase to implementation of the production trial stage, and ensure the continuous innovation of products and work processes.
Promote and facilitate development of technology and process advancements to support business objectives and keep up with market trends also ensuring the high efficacy and quality of products.
Manage quality and safety testing protocols, including stability and compatibility tests. Ensure all product formulas are ready for mass production and consistently meet established quality standards.
Ensure all the R&I activities, formulations, and final products comply with Indonesian regulatory requirements, specifically those set by the BPOM (National Agency of Drug and Food Control) and Halal certification bodies like the MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council). Manage all necessary registration procedures.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and supply chain, to ensure seamless product launches. Communicate progress and results to internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Advice and assiting brand in develop and rejuvinate product.
Establish and maintain relationships with local and overseas raw material suppliers and vendors. Manage the R&D budget, laboratory operations, and procurement of materials and equipment efficiently.
Qualification:
Minimum 5-10+ years of working experience in market researh & development, cosmetic R&D, with a significant period in a supervisory or management role within the cosmetic manufacturing industry. Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM), Original Design Manufacturing (ODM), or Original Brand Manufacturing (OBM) environments is often preferred.
Minimum a Bachelor's degree (S1), preferably a Master's degree (S2), in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
Deep understanding of skincare and decorative product formulations, ingredient functionality, and an in-depth knowledge of cosmetic science. Proficiency with laboratory equipment and analytical methods is essential.
Knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and CPKB/CPOB (Cara Pembuatan Kosmetik yang Baik) is required.
